By deploying Bonree’s integrated intelligent observability platform, China Tower has achieved full-stack monitoring and multi-dimensional topology analysis across more than 40 core business systems. In a multi-cloud environment, dozens of business systems operate collaboratively across a complex architecture involving hundreds of hosts and thousands of instances, resulting in long average fault localization times.


2. Difficulties in Root Cause Analysis

There is an urgent need for a monitoring system to optimize experience monitoring of the approval workflow system. When administrative leaders use the approval system, their non-technical background makes it difficult to accurately describe fault symptoms. Traditional troubleshooting methods are inefficient, impacting critical business processes


3. Lack of End-to-End Tracing Capability  

The existing monitoring system lacks end-to-end tracing capabilities and cannot correlate front-end operations with back-end anomalies. It also lacks effective analysis tools for deep-rooted issues such as slow SQL queries, message queue backlogs, and JVM resource exhaustion

1. Full-Stack Monitoring Coverage and Multi-Dimensional Topology Visualization


Covers hundreds of hosts, thousands of instances, and over 40 core business systems at China Tower. Based on monitoring data, the platform automatically generates multi-dimensional topology views (including global, service components, remote calls, instances, interfaces, databases, slow calls, etc.). Each topology layer can be viewed independently, allowing users to focus on a specific node and examine its upstream and downstream dependencies. This enables comprehensive and visualized oversight of business systems across multi-cloud environments.



2. Front-End Experience Monitoring and Operation Tracing

Using Bonree ONE’s RUM session replay feature, the complete interaction path of VIP users is recorded, allowing issues to be located in the shortest time and accurately reconstructing leadership users’ actions and the fault scenario within the approval workflow system. Combined with analysis of core web application metrics (such as request count and response time) and system-level code analysis, front-end operation issues can be quickly identified and resolved.


3. End-to-End Performance Tracing and In-Depth Analysis

Service Tracing:

Covers web service status monitoring (response time, error rate, throughput, number of alerts), external service performance analysis, and call chain search, with support for fast filtering and pinpointing in long call chains.


Infrastructure Monitoring:

Provides relational database SQL tracing (including slowest SQL analysis), NoSQL performance monitoring (for Redis, MongoDB, HBase, etc.), and full-link analysis of message queues (producer-consumer correlation, throughput, response percentiles).


Exception Diagnosis:

Enables real-time tracking of application errors and exceptions within a given time period, including trends in request error rates and error counts. In the case of serious exceptions such as memory overflows, it supports thread profiling and dump recording at the moment of the overflow


4. Intelligent Alerting and Resource Optimization

By integrating with the IT network management system, alerts are promptly delivered. JVM monitoring is used to track resource usage and performance of Java applications, analyzing metrics such as memory, threads, and thread pools to prevent memory overflows or runtime anomalies

Reduced server-side error rate from 4% to 1.2%, optimized key interface response time from 550ms to 150ms; shortened average database slow SQL call time from 116ms to 45ms, and established a code quality assessment system to quantify improvement effects


3. Precise Multi-System Optimization Practice


For example:


In one system, 85 slow SQL queries were identified and 47 optimized; key interface response time was reduced from 540ms to 230ms, error rate dropped from 5.6% to less than 0.1%, with overall score improving from 96 to 99.


In another system, 25 slow SQL queries and 4 key interfaces were optimized; error rate decreased from 4% to 0.5%, with overall score rising from 97 to 99.


4. End-to-End Health Management System


By leveraging Bonree’s integrated intelligent observability platform, a 100-point health scoring mechanism is established for services, applications, and systems, creating a quantitative evaluation standard for system operational status. This enables visual assessment of whether services, applications, and application systems are functioning normally. The business application monitoring platform supports rapid on-site fault localization down to the code level. It also generates system fault analysis reports, operational analysis reports, and optimization and rectification plans.
